“Well aluminum doesn't rust so there was one thing, lightweight there's another thing. I looked around at a few pergolas, maybe three four five of them and ended up with this one. The ability to have an inside outside life to go in and out back and forth and spend time in the outdoors, your pricing was more competitive that's certainly important. We were way over budget on the house so if we could find a place to spend a little less that made good sense.”

“When it come to Hansø, I find that it's very simple the ability to move it if needed that's more attractive to me than the other brands. On top of that, I think the cost is very much reasonable. The design is very much Scandinavian and so I'm voting for that. I think the final click is that I can uninstall it and take it with me if I ever have to move elsewhere.”

Overall, the experience was less good and more bad. Customer service is great, product is not worth the price tag. The product materials are good, but installation is very tough even for professionals. The motor shades are useless and even with perfect leveling, they don't work. The electricals for motorized louvers and wiring is not internal and is prone to damage with louvers. Everything should have been prewired for louveres, shades, and heating. I will not recommend to order for this price.
Overall, the experience was less good and more bad. Customer service is great, product is not worth the price tag. … it would be lovely to have the power configured or a kit supplied to manage the power of plugging it in. I have to know find all the cords, weatherproof boxes, connectors and wire covers to run it along the unit. I still haven't been able to fully enjoy it now that it's installed. It will be good once this is done, but take note you need to figure this out after it's up.

… the self-drilling screws should have been improved in terms of quality. Cracked the heads of several people, even using a screwdriver. Have also given feedback on better labeling of equipment that is stored for transport inside beams. I understand that this is noted in more recent drawings, but not on the one I received attached. I also think that the drawings may be a little lacking in detail.

The Skydance S2 from Pergolux was certainly a nice pergola, but the price was too high for our liking. The S2 is the “upgraded” version from Pergolux, but it wasn’t much different than the S1 version.
At the end of the day, the Skydance S2 was at least 40% more expensive than the Hansø and the Bon Pergola options.
Its instructions were not that hard to understand, but they did seem incomplete in some places. In addition, we could not verify the true thickness of internal aluminum materials.
While this might not be a bad option, the quality and cost simply don’t match up to our top choice.
